Rain Nightclub
Rain Nightclub, at the Palms Casino Resort, opened in the 2001 by the N9NE Group.[1] The club is or has been known as Rain Las Vegas and Rain in the Desert. A variety of celebrities have been spotted at Rain, including Jerry Bruckheimer,[2] Nicky Hilton and David Katzenberg.[3] Rain was the first mega club to open in Las Vegas. It was arguably the busiest club, with a waiting line several or more hours long. Rain was the first club to introduce Vegas sky boxes, cabanas and water booths. Rain was considered to be a one of a kind hot spot until the Pure Night Club opened at Caesars Palace. Rain remains a very popular hot spot in Las Vegas to this day.
In 2011 Britney Spears delivered a surprise performance as part of her MTV Special inside the club in celebration of her album release.[4]
Rain has hosted many top DJs including in 2010, after a 10 year hiatus from the US, Paul Oakenfold.[5] DJ AM was the host in 2009 until his death.[6][7]
Events
Following the 2009 National Hockey League’s annual award ceremony, a party was hosted at Rain.[8]
